The UAE people celebrate their 53rd UAE National Day 2024 (اليوم الوطني الاماراتي 53) on the 2nd of December every year. In July 1971, six of the Trucial States (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Umm al-Quwain, Ajman, and Fujairah) agreed on a Federal Constitution for achieving independence as the United Arab Emirates (الإمارات العربية المتحدة اليوم الوطني). The UAE became independent on 2nd December 1971. 53rd UAE National Day 2024 is a day of happiness throughout the United Arab Emirates.

The future UAE National Day will be celebrated as an International Day of the Future as per the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (Unesco).

The UAE and the United Arab Emirates became independent on 2nd December 1971. At that time six Estates/Emirates united under a Federal Constitution. This is the United Arab Emirates. The UAE National Day (اليوم الوطني الاماراتي 2024) is a celebration of the union of the six estates while Ras Al Khaimah joins these six estates on 10th Feb1972. Now the UAE has a total of seven estates. These seven estates combined to form a modern worldwide country, headed by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the federation’s first president.

The complete story of the early days when these seven estates finally decided to combine as the United Arab Emirates. Emirate’s federal constitution was approved on 1st December 1971. On a coming morning on 2nd December 1971, the seven rulers met each other in a hostel in Dubai. The six estates at that time decided to unite under a constitution of the union. On the other hand, RAK rulers did not agree at that time.

Sheikh Zayed was appointed as a foreign minister and he declared to the media about the union official. They also raised a flag in the hostel in Dubai. This place is famous as the “House of the Union”. His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan nominated the 1st official president of the union & Sheikh Rashid was elected as Vice President of the Union.

When the UAE came into being, the next step was that there must be a national anthem. The national anthem of UAE is Ishi Biladi which translates to “Long live my nation”. The National Anthem lyrics were written by scholar Arif Al Sheikh Abdullah Al Hassan in 1986.  The famous Egyptian composer Mohammad Abdul Wahab was the one who composed the national anthem for the United Arab Emirates.

The National Animal of the UAE is the Arabian oryx.  The Arabian oryx is named, Al Maha in Arabic.  A lot of people think that the camel is the National Animal of the UAE. Actually, in UAE, you can find a large number of camels so people thought that this is the national animal. The answer to this is that no camel is not a national animal. In fact, this is the Arabian oryx. This animal is almost obsoleting from the map of the world.

The national tree of the UAE is Al Ghaf. The other name of this tree is Prosopis cineraria. This plant is illegally cut down and you can find very little amount of trees in the UAE. A lot of efforts have been in action to save every green tree. This tree is also used for inspiration and as a logo for the Year of Tolerance initiatives.
