The UAE people celebrate their UAE National Day 2024 (اليوم الوطني الاماراتي 53) on the 2nd of December every year. In July 1971, six of the Trucial States (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Umm al-Quwain, Ajman, and Fujairah) agreed on a Federal Constitution for achieving independence as the United Arab Emirates (الإمارات العربية المتحدة اليوم الوطني). The UAE became independent on 2nd December 1971. 53rd UAE National Day 2024 is a day of happiness throughout the United Arab Emirates.

The future UAE National Day will be celebrated as an International Day of the Future as per the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (Unesco).

The UAE and the United Arab Emirates became independent on 2nd December 1971. Six Estates/Emirates were united under the Federal Constitution at that time. This is the United Arab Emirates. The story of the early days when these seven estates finally decided to combine as the United Arab Emirates. Emirate’s federal constitution was approved on 1st December 1971. On a coming morning on 2nd December 1971, the seven rulers met each other in a hostel in Dubai. The six estates at that time decided to unite under a constitution of the union. On the other hand, RAK rulers did not agree at that time.

Sheikh Zayed was appointed as a foreign minister, and he declared to the media about the union official. They also raised a flag in the hostel in Dubai. This place is famous as the “House of the Union.” His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan was nominated as the 1st official president of the union & Sheikh Rashid was elected Vice President of the Union.

The national tree of the UAE is Al Ghaf. The other name of this tree is Prosopis cineraria. This plant is illegally cut down, and there are very few trees in the UAE. A lot of efforts have been made to save every green tree. This tree is also used for inspiration and as a logo for the Year of Tolerance initiatives.
