The UAE people celebrate their UAE National Day 2024 (اليوم الوطني الاماراتي 53) on the 2nd of December every year. In July 1971, six of the Trucial States (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Umm al-Quwain, Ajman, and Fujairah) agreed on a Federal Constitution for achieving independence as the United Arab Emirates (الإمارات العربية المتحدة اليوم الوطني). The national tree of the UAE is Al Ghaf. The other name of this tree is Prosopis cineraria. This plant is illegally cut down, and there are very few trees in the UAE. A lot of efforts have been made to save every green tree. This tree is also used for inspiration and as a logo for the Year of Tolerance initiatives.
