Emirati man has plan to decorate home with 100,000 UAE flags
Humaid Obaid Al Ali, a local UAE national guy, who lives in Umm Al Quwain’s Al Butain area, raising one big UAE flag on UAE Flag Day in his house was never enough. He and his family and staff, plans to decorate his home and living places with flags of every size. Last year in 2017, he had a total of 60,000 flags, some of the flags covering the walls, others hanging in garlands everywhere in his house.
This year, I am planning to decorate my home with more flags, actually up to 100,000 to show my respect, love and loyalty to my beloved home country and prudent leaders. It always takes Al Ali a week to complete the work. This, actually, requires a lot of hard work, which needs all hands on deck, all my family members, my workers, and some staff from the company I bought the flags from.
Although Flag Day isn’t a public holiday, it’s still a very special event. All government departments all over the country have been asked to raise the UAE flag for the day. You’ll be able to see flags all over the place, in shopping malls, on people’s houses and cars everywhere in the whole United Arab Emirates (علم دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة).
